About

Dr. Gradillas undertook her primary and secondary schooling between Stella Maris, Devon and St Mary’s Shaftesbury in Dorset.

She trained as a Doctor at the University of Málaga, Spain. She then spent 11 years in the UK, gaining full membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (2008) and accreditation with the General Medical Council (GMC) as a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry.

Dr Gradillas completed her Senior House Officer training in Psychiatry at the St. George’s Arun Valley Rotation. This included six months rotations in Old Age, Child and Adolescent, Learning Disabilities Psychiatry and thirty months in General Adult Psychiatry. During which she took part in CBT and psychotherapy training. 

She then undertook her Specialist Training in General Adult Psychiatry at the Peterborough and Cambridge rotations which covered acute inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as addictions and rehabilitation services. 

During her training Dr Gradillas supervised and provided teaching for Junior Doctors and medical students at St George’s and the University of Sussex. Once established in her private practice in Spain, she was a visiting lecturer for the Department of Criminology at the University of Málaga from 2018-2020.

Dr Gradillas has been a member of the medical board of la “Asociacíon de la Prensa” since 2006.

She obtained a prize for best article in 2010 “Attempted Suicide”, from the Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Medicos de Málaga, Científica. 

Publishing

Dr. Gradillas is proud to co-author, with Dr. Vicente Gradillas, the book “Clinical Suicidiology: Evaluation and treatment of self-destructive tendencies in professional practice”.
